Martijn Vroom

Martijn Vroom is a Dutch politician and administrator currently serving as the Mayor of Leidschendam-Voorburg since March 2023. A member of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA), he previously served as the Mayor of Krimpen aan den IJssel and held various municipal council and alderman positions in Schiedam, Noordwijk, and Waddinxveen. Vroom studied theology and political philosophy at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the Institute for Christian Studies in Toronto. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in local broadcasting professionalization and veteran support initiatives. He is also a reservist in the Royal Netherlands Army.
