Masaaki Odera is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Sukagawa, Fukushima Prefecture. Born in 1961, he previously worked in convenience store management before entering local politics. He served four terms as a member of the Sukagawa City Council, where he also held the position of City Council Chair. In July 2024, Odera was elected as the Mayor of Sukagawa after a competitive race, campaigning on local policy initiatives such as the provision of free school lunches and educational materials.
