新井雅博

Masahiro Arai is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Fujioka in Gunma Prefecture. Born in Fujioka in 1960, he graduated from the Nihon University College of Law. He began his career as a secretary to politician Keizo Obuchi before serving two terms as a member of the Fujioka City Council. Arai was subsequently elected to the Gunma Prefectural Assembly, where he served four terms starting in 2003. He was first elected Mayor of Fujioka in 2018 and has since secured re-election, most recently winning a third term in 2026.
