穂積昌信

Masanobu Hozumi is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Ota City in Gunma Prefecture. Born in Ota in 1974, he is a qualified physical therapist who graduated from Waseda University. Before his election as mayor in April 2025, he served three consecutive terms in the Gunma Prefectural Assembly, where he held leadership roles including head of the Liberal Democratic Party's prefectural assembly caucus and chairman of the policy research council. In the 2025 mayoral election, he defeated the long-serving incumbent, ending a 30-year administration.
