三木正夫

Masao Miki is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Suzaka in Nagano Prefecture. Born in 1949, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at Chuo University in 1973 and subsequently began a career in the Nagano Prefectural Government, where he held various administrative roles including head of the Shimoina regional office. He was first elected as the Mayor of Suzaka in 2004 and has since been re-elected multiple times, securing his sixth term in 2024. Throughout his tenure, Miki has faced public scrutiny regarding the use of public funds for official attendance at religious ceremonies, a practice he has defended as consistent with his duties.
