She began her political career in 2006 as an alderwoman in Mouscron, where she managed youth, environmental affairs, sports, and equal opportunities. In 2014, she transitioned to regional politics, becoming a member of the Walloon Parliament and the Parliament of the French Community. She was subsequently re-elected in 2019, representing Picardy Wallonia, and became a Knight of the Order of Leopold in 2024.
