Matthew Bierlein

Matthew Bierlein is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives for the 97th district. A native of Tuscola County, he previously served on the Tuscola County Board of Commissioners from 2013 to 2019, where he held the position of vice-chair. His background also includes serving as the President of the Michigan Association of Counties and working as a district director for State Senator Kevin Daley. Before entering public office, Bierlein worked in the manufacturing industry. He holds a bachelor's degree from Spring Arbor University and is a graduate of Vassar High School.
