Mehmet Sait Yaz is a Turkish politician and religious scholar currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey for the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) representing Diyarbakır. Born in 1962 in the Silvan district, he spent many years as an imam, notably serving at the historic Diyarbakır Grand Mosque until his retirement in 2017. Following his retirement, he focused on teaching theology and leading the Quran Sciences Foundation. He entered politics in 2023, winning a seat in the 28th Parliament, where he serves on the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission.
