Mercedes Alvarez-Lansang

Mercedes Alvarez-Lansang is a Filipino politician serving as a Member of the House of Representatives, representing the 6th district of Negros Occidental. She previously held the position of Deputy Speaker in the House of Representatives during the 17th Congress. An active legislator on the international stage, she has represented the Philippines at Inter-Parliamentary Union conferences and served on the Board of the Forum of Young Parliamentarians from the Asia Pacific. She is also a known advocate for sustainable tourism practices across the CHICKS area in Negros Occidental.
