Merja Kyllönen is a Finnish politician currently serving as a Member of the Parliament of Finland. A member of the Left Alliance, she previously served as the Minister of Transport from 2011 to 2014 and as a Member of the European Parliament from 2014 to 2019. During her career, she has been a prominent advocate for transport reform and labor rights, notably serving as a rapporteur for the Fourth Railway Package and the directive on posted drivers. In 2018, she was the Left Alliance's candidate in the Finnish presidential election.
