Michèle Audette

Michèle Audette is a Canadian politician and activist who has served as a Senator for Quebec since 2021. Of Innu descent, she has dedicated much of her career to advocating for Indigenous rights, notably serving as president of Quebec Native Women and the Native Women's Association of Canada. In 2017, she was appointed as a commissioner for the national inquiry into missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. Currently non-affiliated in the Senate, she previously held the role of Government Liaison.
