Michael L. MacDonald

Michael L. MacDonald is a Canadian politician serving as a member of the Senate of Canada. Appointed to the Senate in 2009 on the advice of Prime Minister Stephen Harper, he represents the province of Nova Scotia. Prior to his appointment, MacDonald worked as a political researcher and executive assistant to various government officials, and he has been a small business owner in Louisbourg since 1988. Throughout his career, he has been an active member of the Conservative Party, having run for federal and provincial office multiple times before entering the Senate.
