Michitaka Iriuchijima is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the Gunma Prefectural Assembly. Born in Nakanojo, he graduated from Tohoku University's Faculty of Economics. His extensive career includes serving as a member of the Nakanojo Town Council and as the Mayor of Nakanojo, where he was the youngest municipal leader in the prefecture at the time. He later founded the NPO Gunma CSO. He advocates for revitalizing rural areas by addressing depopulation and promoting social systems that support active participation by the elderly, whom he refers to as 'light-aged' citizens.
