Midori Tanno is a Japanese politician and former freelance announcer currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the Democratic Party for the People. Born in Nagoya, she graduated from Nagoya University and spent over two decades as a prominent broadcaster, notably with CBC Television and Radio. After transitioning to a career in politics, she ran for the House of Councillors in 2022 before successfully winning a seat in the House of Representatives for the Aichi 11th district in the 2024 general election. She was re-elected in 2026, continuing her legislative work representing the interests of her constituency.
