Mike Katz, Baron Katz

Michael David Katz, Baron Katz, is a British politician and member of the House of Lords who currently serves as a Lord in Waiting and Government Whip. A long-time activist, he previously served as a councillor for the London Borough of Camden from 2010 to 2014 and has held the position of national chairman of the Jewish Labour Movement. Throughout his career, Katz has been a vocal advocate against antisemitism within the Labour Party, notably criticizing the party's leadership under Jeremy Corbyn. He was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2025 for his political and public service and was created a life peer in the same year.
