Mike McGuire

Mike McGuire is an American politician serving as a member of the California State Senate, representing the 2nd district since 2014. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as the Senate President pro tempore from 2024 to 2025 and as majority leader. Before his tenure in the state legislature, McGuire held local offices, including serving on the Healdsburg School Board, the Healdsburg City Council, and the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. His legislative career has focused on issues such as wildfire emergency alerts, tax transparency, and the regulation of the medical marijuana industry.
