Minoru Yamamoto is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Tatsuno in Hyogo Prefecture. Born in 1952, he began his career as a civil servant at the Tatsuno City Hall, where he held various leadership positions including Director of the Sewerage Department and Director of the General Affairs Department. After an unsuccessful run for mayor in 2013, he was elected to the Tatsuno City Council in 2014. He was first elected mayor in 2017 and has since secured re-election, most recently winning a third term in October 2025. Beyond his political career, he is actively involved in local sports as a soccer coach and leader of the Tatsuno Football Club.
