越智三義

Mitsuyoshi Ochi is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Saijo City in Ehime Prefecture. A native of Saijo, he spent his early career as a local government official, holding various leadership roles within the Saijo City Hall, including Director of the Industrial Economy Department and Director of the Management Strategy Department. He served as Deputy Mayor from 2021 until 2024. In May 2026, he was elected Mayor of Saijo after defeating the incumbent in a special election. Ochi is also an accomplished kendo practitioner, holding a fifth-dan rank.
