Miyuki Takagiwa is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Toshima Ward in Tokyo. Born in 1965 in Tanashi (now Nishitokyo), she graduated from Tokyo Woman's Christian University. Before entering politics, she worked at Suntory and held various administrative positions within the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, including roles in welfare, health, and child-rearing support, as well as serving as a secretary to Governor Yuriko Koike. In 2023, she was elected as the first female mayor of Toshima Ward, supported by a coalition including the Liberal Democratic Party, Komeito, and Tomin First no Kai.
