Mohamed Arkab is an Algerian politician and high-ranking official currently serving as the Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines. An engineer by training, he spent the majority of his career at the state-owned energy company Sonelgaz, eventually serving as its CEO from 2017 to 2019. Since entering government in 2019, he has held various ministerial portfolios, including Minister of Energy and Minister of Mines.
