Monica Kurth

Monica Kurth is an American educator and politician serving as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives. Born in 1950 in Cascade, Iowa, she spent much of her career as an educator at Scott Community College before entering public office. She was first elected to the Iowa House in a 2017 special election to represent the 89th district and later transitioned to representing the 98th district following redistricting. Kurth is a member of the Democratic Party and has announced she will not seek re-election at the end of her current term.
