Muhammad Ssegirinya was a Ugandan politician, humanitarian, and journalist who served as a member of the 11th Parliament of Uganda, representing the Kawempe North Constituency. Known popularly as 'Mr. Updates,' he rose to prominence as a social media personality and radio commentator before entering formal politics. He previously served as a lord councillor for the Kampala Capital City Authority from 2016 to 2021. Throughout his career, he was a vocal member of the opposition National Unity Platform. Ssegirinya passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 37.
