Muwanga Kivumbi

Muwanga Muhammad Kivumbi is a Ugandan politician and economist currently serving as a Member of Parliament for Butambala County. An experienced legislator, he previously held membership in the Democratic Party before joining the National Unity Platform in 2021. Kivumbi is recognized for his leadership roles, including serving as the chairperson of the parliamentary committee on public accountability and the Buganda parliamentary caucus. In early 2025, he was appointed as the Deputy President for the central region of the National Unity Platform. His political career has been marked by a strong focus on government accountability and opposition advocacy within the Ugandan political landscape.
