Néstor Rego

Néstor Rego Candamil is a Spanish politician and educator currently serving as a member of the Congress of Deputies of Spain. Born in O Vicedo, Galicia, he holds a degree in geography and history from the University of Santiago de Compostela. Before his national parliamentary career, he worked as a high school teacher and served as a municipal councillor in Santiago de Compostela, where he held portfolios for the environment and culture. A prominent figure in Galician nationalism, he has led the Galician People's Union (UPG) since 2012 and represents the Galician Nationalist Bloc (BNG) in the national legislature.
