Hayato Nakamura is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Ibaraki 7th district. Born in 1986, he is the son of veteran politician Kishiro Nakamura. Before entering national politics, he served two terms in the Ibaraki Prefectural Assembly, having been elected in 2018. Nakamura graduated from Seikei University and previously worked as a driving school instructor and as a secretary for his father. He ran as an independent candidate in the 2024 general election and successfully secured a seat. In the Diet, he has notably participated in prime ministerial designation elections by voting for Sanae Takaichi, citing a desire to advance electoral system reforms.
