Nancy Karetak-Lindell is a Canadian politician serving as a Senator for Nunavut since December 2024. An Inuk leader, she previously served as a Liberal Member of Parliament for the riding of Nunavut from 1997 to 2008, becoming the first female MP for the Eastern Arctic. Before her parliamentary career, she held various roles in municipal governance and Inuit organizations, including the Inuit Circumpolar Council. In 2022, she was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada in recognition of her extensive public service and dedication to northern communities.
