Nasser Bourita

Nasser Bourita is a Moroccan diplomat and politician serving as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates. Born in Taounate, he earned his degree in public law from Mohammed V University in Rabat before embarking on a career in diplomacy within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs starting in 1992. Over the decades, he has held various diplomatic positions including first secretary at the embassy in Vienna, head of the UN division, and secretary general of the ministry, prior to his appointment as minister. He has played a key role in advancing Morocco's foreign policy objectives, regional cooperation in Africa, counter-terrorism initiatives, and international partnerships.
