Nathalie Provost is a Canadian politician, engineer, and prominent gun control advocate who has served as the Member of Parliament for Châteauguay—Les Jardins-de-Napierville since 2025. A survivor of the 1989 École Polytechnique massacre, she co-founded the advocacy group PolySeSouvient and spent decades campaigning for stricter firearms legislation. Before her election to the House of Commons, she worked as an engineering civil servant for the Government of Quebec and served as vice-chair of the Canadian Firearms Registry. In May 2025, she was appointed Secretary of State (Nature).
