Neil Mendoza, Baron Mendoza

Neil Mendoza, Baron Mendoza is a British businessman, academic administrator, and life peer who has served as a member of the House of Lords since 2020. Educated at Oriel College, Oxford, he co-founded the custom media company Forward Publishing in 1986 before transitioning into public service and cultural administration. He currently serves as the Provost of Oriel College and as the chair of Historic England. Throughout his career, he has held numerous advisory roles in the arts and heritage sectors, including leading government reviews on museums and cultural recovery, and was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2023 for his contributions to arts and culture.
