Niko Peleshi

Niko Peleshi is an Albanian politician currently serving as the Speaker of the Parliament of Albania since September 2025. An electronic engineer by training, he previously held significant government roles, including Minister of Defence from 2020 to 2025 and Deputy Prime Minister in 2013. His political career began in local governance, where he served as the Prefect of Korçë and later as the Mayor of Korçë from 2007 to 2012. A long-standing member of the Socialist Party, he has been active in national politics since 2019.
