Nils Bothen is a German politician and a member of the Bremische Bürgerschaft, representing the Social Democratic Party (SPD). Born in 1970 in Bremerhaven, he trained as an industrial mechanic and previously served as the chairman of the works council at a shipyard. Bothen has been a member of the SPD since 2013 and has served as a city councilor in Bremerhaven since 2015. Following his election to the state parliament in 2023, he currently serves as an assessor and spokesperson for ports and shipping for the SPD parliamentary group.
