Hidenori Nishita

Hidenori Nishita is a Japanese politician and former bureaucrat currently serving as a member of the House of Councillors. Born in Hiroshima Prefecture, he spent part of his childhood in the United States before returning to Japan. He graduated from the Waseda University Faculty of Law in 2005 and subsequently joined the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, where he worked until 2021. After an unsuccessful bid in the 2021 Hiroshima by-election, he was elected to the House of Councillors in the 2025 regular election representing the Hiroshima constituency.
