Nkosindiphile Xhakaza is a South African politician who has served as the Executive Mayor of the City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality since April 2024. Born in 1977, he hails from the Lebeong Section of Thembisa in Gauteng. Before entering politics, he worked at Standard Bank and Siemens. A member of the African National Congress (ANC), Xhakaza previously served as a proportional representation councillor and held various portfolios as a Member of the Mayoral Committee, including Water and Energy, Finance, and Corporate Services. He was elected as the ANC regional chairperson for Ekurhuleni in 2025.
