Norbert Mao

Norbert Mao is a Ugandan political activist, lawyer, and politician serving as the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs since July 2022. He has been the president of the Democratic Party since 2010 and is a three-time presidential candidate who previously served as a Member of Parliament for Gulu Municipality and as the Local Council 5 chairman for Gulu District. A graduate of Makerere University and Yale University's World Fellows Program, Mao has been actively involved in regional peace initiatives and national political leadership.
