Nurtekin Tepe is a German politician and a member of the Bremische Bürgerschaft, representing the Social Democratic Party (SPD) since June 2023. Born in Zara, Turkey, in 1967, he immigrated to Germany with his parents around 1980. Before entering state-level politics, he worked as a machine fitter and a driver for the Bremen tram system, and served as a member of the Hemelingen advisory board from 2019 to 2023. Within the SPD parliamentary group, he currently serves as the spokesperson for religious community affairs. Tepe has also been active in local community leadership, including his role as a spokesperson for the Hemelingen mosque community.
