Toshiyuki Ochi is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Councillors, representing the Liberal Democratic Party. Born in Etajima, Hiroshima, he graduated from Hosei University with a degree in civil engineering. Before entering politics, he held executive roles in the construction industry, including serving as a director at Sanko Construction and as a representative director at Goanko Co., Ltd. He was first elected to the House of Councillors in the 2022 regular election. In October 2025, he was appointed as the Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and concurrently as the Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Cabinet Office, positions he continues to hold in the second Takaichi Cabinet. He is supported by the National Federation of Small Business Political Leagues.
