He currently serves as a member of the 18th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, representing the Zahoorabad constituency. Previously, he was a member of the Bahujan Samaj Party and served as a cabinet minister in the Yogi Adityanath ministry from 2017 to 2019, before being re-inducted into the state cabinet in 2024. Rajbhar is known for his advocacy for backward classes and his focus on education reform.
