Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir is an Icelandic politician who has served as the Minister for Foreign Affairs since 2024. A long-standing figure in Icelandic politics, she previously held positions as the Minister of Education, Science and Culture and the Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture. She has led the Reform Party (Viðreisn) as chairwoman since 2017. Before her political career, she was a lawyer and a pioneering handball referee in Iceland. She has served multiple terms in the Althing, representing various constituencies throughout her career.
