Guðbrandur Einarsson

Guðbrandur Einarsson is an Icelandic politician and a member of the Althing, representing the Southern constituency since his election in 2021. A member of the Reform Party (Viðreisn), he has an extensive background in local government and labor advocacy. He served on the Reykjanesbær municipal council across multiple terms between 2002 and 2022, including periods as president of the council. Prior to his parliamentary career, he held leadership roles in the labor movement, serving as chairman of both the Suðurnesja Merchants' Association and the National Union of Icelandic Merchants for several years. His professional experience also includes board memberships in various municipal institutions and companies within the Suðurnes region.
