A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he represents the Sirohi constituency in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. Before his political career, he served briefly in the Rajasthan Police as a constable and later engaged in community and religious service. First elected to the assembly in 2008, he has held various ministerial roles, including serving as the Minister of Devasthan and Cow Husbandry from 2014 to 2018.
