Pío García-Escudero Márquez is a Spanish architect and politician currently serving as the Second Vice President of the Senate of Spain. Born in Madrid in 1952, he graduated from the Technical University of Madrid and the Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid. A long-standing member of the People's Party, he previously served as the 59th President of the Senate from 2011 to 2019. Throughout his career, he has held various senatorial mandates and has been recognized with several foreign honours, including the Grand Cross of the Order of the Sun of Peru.
