Patrick B. Burke is an American politician currently serving as a member of the New York State Assembly for the 142nd district. A native of South Buffalo, Burke previously served in the Erie County Legislature, where he gained recognition for sponsoring legislation to ban plastic microbeads and for his work on municipal broadband initiatives. Since his election to the State Assembly in 2018, he has focused on issues such as election reform, child victim advocacy, and environmental protection, including his role as chair of the Great Lakes Watershed Task Force and the Standing Committee on Cities.
