Peter Cain is an Australian politician serving as a Member of the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly for the seat of Ginninderra since 2020. Before entering politics, he worked as a teacher and later as a legal professional within the ACT Government. Cain previously held several shadow cabinet portfolios, including Attorney-General and Planning and Land Management, before moving to the backbench in 2025. He is a practising Catholic and a father of seven who resides in Belconnen.
