Peter Fox

Peter Fox is a British Conservative politician currently serving as a Member of the Senedd for the Sir Fynwy Torfaen constituency. Before his election to the Senedd in 2021, he had a long career in local government, serving as the Leader of Monmouthshire County Council from 2008 to 2021. A former dairy and beef farmer, Fox has been a vocal advocate for rural interests, local produce, and the fast-tracking of home adaptations for those suffering from motor neurone disease. He currently serves as the Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Transport and Rural Affairs and has been a prominent critic of universal basic income, emphasizing the importance of means-testing in the welfare state.
