Peter Chibwe Kapala is a Zambian politician currently serving as the Minister of Fisheries and Livestock. A member of the United Party for National Development (UPND), he was nominated to the National Assembly of Zambia in September 2021 by President Hakainde Hichilema. Prior to his current appointment in July 2024, Kapala served as the Minister of Energy. He holds a Master's degree in Civil and Structural Engineering as well as a Technician Certificate, bringing a technical background to his ministerial roles within the Zambian government.
