Peter Taylor is a British Liberal Democrat politician currently serving as the Mayor of Watford, a position he has held since 2018. Before his election as mayor, he served as a Watford Borough Councillor for the Oxhey ward and worked in the education sector, including as an assistant director for the Catholic Education Service. In 2025, he was also elected as a Hertfordshire County Councillor for Central Watford and Oxhey. Taylor holds a Master of Arts in economics and politics from the University of Edinburgh and previously worked as a research assistant for MP Alistair Carmichael.
