Phil Willis is a British politician and a life peer in the House of Lords, where he holds the title Baron Willis of Knaresborough. Before entering the House of Lords in 2010, he served as the Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Harrogate and Knaresborough from 1997 to 2010. During his time in the House of Commons, he chaired the Science and Technology Committee and served as the party's Shadow Education and Skills Secretary. A former educator and head teacher, Willis has been a prominent advocate for education reform and led the Willis Commission on the future of nursing education.
