Phillip Ensler

Phillip Ensler is an American politician and attorney serving as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives for the 74th district since 2022. Originally from New York, he moved to Alabama in 2012, where he worked as a public school educator through Teach For America and served as the Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Central Alabama. In the legislature, he has focused on education and public safety, notably supporting bipartisan legislation to criminalize glock switches. After initially announcing plans to step down, he declared his candidacy for the 2026 Alabama lieutenant gubernatorial election.
