Piero Castrataro

Piero Castrataro is an Italian politician and engineer who has served as the Mayor of Isernia since October 2021. Born in Jelsi in 1975, he holds a degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Pisa and completed advanced studies at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies. Before his election as mayor, he worked professionally in the renewable energy sector. In 2021, he successfully ran for mayor of Isernia, supported by a center-left coalition including the Democratic Party and the Five Star Movement, winning the runoff election with over 58% of the vote.
