Prasanna Gunasena

Prasanna Gunasena is a Sri Lankan politician and consultant neurosurgeon currently serving as a Member of Parliament. A distinguished medical professional, he is affiliated with Lanka Hospitals and has previously served as the Chairman of the State Pharmaceutical Company of Sri Lanka. Dr. Gunasena is recognized for his pioneering work in neurosurgery, including performing the first cervical disc replacement and balloon kyphoplasty procedures in Sri Lanka. He is also a founding member of the Neurosurgeons Association of Sri Lanka.
